A TABLET TO ENHANCE YOUR VISIT.

With the aim of enhancing museum visits and offering a fuller cultural experience than traditional museum exhibits, the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli in Turin has designed and produced a series of QR codes for its permanent collection.
Using our free wi-fi network and their smartphones, or the tablets provided free of charge by the museum, visitors can explore the various themes presented, discover and learn about the historical, social and cultural context underpinning the various works of art and find out more about each artist’s life.

The codes also access the series of videos Over to the collector, which describe the “joy of admiring art” of the museum’s founders, Giovanni and Marella Agnelli. Then there are the focus section, which offer extra contents on each theme (from the optical instruments Canaletto used in his painting, to Picasso’s concept of Cubism, to Matisse’s paper cut-outs). The section events and curiosities offers information about the museum’s didactic activities, our recommendations for books present in the library and information about exhibitions in Italy and abroad on the same subjects or artists. The guestbook is an area specially designed for the visitors themselves – to leave comments, suggestions or interact with other users.
